I just bought 2 used ball lock corny kegs. What size deep socket or wrench do I need to pull apart the posts for cleaning?

looks like they used a 7/8 or 11/16... but make sure it is deep.

Yep, it'll be one of those two sizes. I had to go to Lowes last night to pick up a 7/8 deep socket.

Make sure it's a 12-point 7/8 socket. The gas posts on some of the kegs require a 12-point, and while you can use a 12-point on a hex nut, it doesn't work very well the other way around. :D

I use 12pt combination wrenches for mine. Might be a little more expensive than sockets if you have to buy new either way, but it's a bit more likely you'll keep combination wrenches around the house already than 12pt deep sockets...

Correct, I have 4 that are 7/8 and 2 that are 11/16, and a combination wrench works great.
