Does the thermostats that cut power to the fridge/freezer do any more wear and tear to the box than the regular thermostat would do?

Most temp regulators for this purpose have about a 3-5 degree window each way. If they didn't have this window, the thing would be turning on and off every few minutes---which is what tends to burn out the motors. The window (buffer) minimizes cycling and cuts down on wear & tear.

Especially on a freezer conversion, they will cycle way less than a freezer used for, a freezer.:cross: Mine only runs a couple of minutes an hour as well.

I have a keezer and a freezer sitting next to each other. Same brand. The freezer runs about 5 times as much as the keezer, even though the keezer also cools the conditioning cabinet.

Only rapid cycling is a problem and about the only time that will happen is if the keezer is running during a power blip.
