Has anyone used Galena for anything other than bittering?

i plan on brewing a all-galena IIPA soon. I'm going to use a pound of galena(including dryhops) all 20minutes or less. I'm not sure yet but ill probably do something like:
15pounds 2row
2pounds vienna
.5pound red wheat
.5pound crystal60

3oz galena @ 20minutes
3oz galena @ 15minutes
2oz galena @ 10minutes
2oz galena @ 5minutes
2oz galena @ 2minutes
2oz galena @ flameout
2oz galena @ dryhop

This makes me laugh. Why? Because during a double brew day, I got some hops mixed up and used Galena in the last 2 minutes of my American Wheat. It turned out nice.

I just finished an All Galena Pale, unfortunately its not quite ready for consumption, I will try and remember to report back in a couple weeks when its ready.

The Hydrometer sample smelled and tasted pretty good, very distinctive with a bit of dark berry in the nose.

completely necroing this old thread.

how did it turn out? i'm about to make a galena ipa or pale ale with some galena i've had for years in my freezer. i just want to get rid of them in more than small bittering additions.
