I just finished bottling a batch of apfelwein I made with a sweet mead smash pack. After two days white floaties started coagulating in the bottom of the bottle. The wine still taste amazing, but it is kinda ugly and you can't pour a clear glass. It acts differently than lees and doesn't settle so, what is this stuff?

How long was your apfelwein in the primary? Did you secondary? Sounds like they may have been bottled too soon and you're still seeing yeast falling out of suspension. Was your apfelwein super clear at the time of bottling?

It was Edwort's apfelwein so no primary and about 35 days. It was crystal clear when I bottled it. It isn't heavy enough to be lees, it isn't reasting on the bottom, but floating in the bottom couple of inches of each bottle.
