I had a round one.
Now I use this rectangular Coleman xtreme.
I switched to batch sparging when I made the bigger MLT. I like it much more.

It depends on how you plan to sparge. For a fly sparge the taller narrow (round) make more sense. For a batch sparge it really doesn't matter but the rectangles are cheaper and come in larger sizes.

My advice, read up on batch sparging. It's easy and effective. A rectangular is easier to store. They stack fairly well.
It's a PEX pipe with holes drilled in the bottom. Here it is after much abuse with the bottom of the launter device showing.
