I brewed a Oktoberfest yesterday and tossed it in the chest freezer that i thought was turned up to 51. Turns out it was set to 31.... I cold crashed it before it even started.

I have it warming up now. But do i need to repitch? I had a fairly large starter i threw in originally.

It should be alright. It will probably start fermenting pretty slow though.

I've done this before ... with an ale! My spider sense went off while I was at work. I knew something was wrong with my beer, I could almost hear the yeast yelling for help. So I had a friend go over and check the temp inside the fridge. It was in the low 40s. Had him turn the fridge off and let it gradually come up to temp. Turned out fine. No need to repitch.

this one got to 34 degrees for 12 hours but we will see. LOL, I'm shure teh yeast were like WTF?
