I just don't get it. Just before the end of '07, I made a batch of EdWort's Haus ale, following his recipe to the T. This was my first all grain.

Bottled, conditioned....drank first five or six........most excellent beer I have ever made. Light in color, great body and flavor, Cascade hops making the best balanced beer.

Fast forward to today............I sent out a bottle of this to Yooper for a side swap, and she told me it had problems. I was concerned, since this was the beer I was proudest of.

I drank one last night............in the glass it is much darker in color, and now has a much maltier, slightly sweeter taste, and the Cascade hops are almost imperceptible. How can the characteristics change that much, that quickly, in the bottle?    ::
