I know the only true way to get a good cell count is to use a microscope. My question is, is there any kind of a database that has been created which shows how many cells are in a certain amount of yeast X? In other words, is there a database that for example would show there is 1.2 billion cells in a ml of yeast 1272?
Or, can this not be done because the cell count varies depending on which beer the re-harvested yeast comes from? I'm just wondering as I don't have access or the knowledge to do legitimate cell counts and therefore am going to have to go by ml counts.
