I boiled mine for about 30 minutes. Doesnt take long for the oxidation layer to form.

Same here, worked like a charm. Try to fit as much as you can safely boil in the kettle to get the oxidation layer as high up on the inside of the pot as you can.

Thanks...Got 7 gal in a 7 1/2 gal pot boiling...on my $45 combo...

You'll love that pot. What a steal it was! I got a 50' IC and it did fine for my 5 gallon batch, 10 gallon batch to be done in the near future.

You mean 60 quarts, not gallons, if you got it from Royal Palm... that is why you are getting some of the responses.
In the old days (a couple years ago) we would have assumed you meant 60qts or Liters. Now, with some of the rigs the guys on here have... when you say 60 gallons, we believe it. lol
