pitched into the starter about 12hrs ago.

brewing tomorrow, i'm brewing a few gallons extra and i'm gonna split the wort into two fermenters.
i'll pitch some washed us05 in about 4 gallons and the burton yeast starter is going into the remaining (~3 gallons probably). going to be a big, heavily hopped red ale i guess. based loosely on jamils evil twin.

this is the first time i've used anything other than us05, should be interesting to see how different the two turn out.
 
so in a week the WLP023 went to 1.010 and the us05 went to 1.012
tasted the hydro samples and the burton ale yeast tasted alot smoother and fruitier.
the us05 tasted like all the other us05 hydro samples. kinda harsh and bubbly coz co2 i guess.

same dryhop is in each fermenter and i'll bottle them in a few days so two weeks total in primary...
