Looking to buy a temperature controller for my (chest freezer) fermentation chamber if anyone has one they are looking to unload. I have a Johnson controller for my keezer and like it. But would consider other brands too.

Thanks!:mug:

There is also the option of buying a Ranco cheap and wiring a cord to it for ~$60 all said and done. Going this route is much cheaper than buying one at a homebrew shop and it is quite easy. If you can wire a standard outlet you can wire a Ranco with no problems. This is what I did for the 3 Rancos I have and I love them. Below are links for Ranco ETC 111000 which I am assuming you would need unless you are looking for a dual temperature control. I also included a link for the dual controller ETC 211000 if you need this function.

How to wire an ETC 111000 with a standard extension cord:

Is there any advantage of the Ranco over the Johnson besides cost? I'm not opposed to spending a little more for the JC if it is a better unit. Otherwise I could brew another batch with the difference in cost if the Ranco is the way to go.
