Brewer seeks Mead recipe with longevity.

I am getting ready to make a batch of mead that I want to age for 21 years until my daughter's 21st birthday. I have heard of Meads that keep for years, much like wine. That is what I am looking for.

Does anybody have a recipe such as this? I was thinking something along of a traditional mead. I think a melomel would be cool, but I'm not sure if it would keep as long with the fruit.

What do you all think? Any good recipes?

my attempts at mead are still aging(read i can't drink this rotten sh@#t yet)

yeah any standard mead will age for many years. you just want to make sure your APV is nice and high to keep for that long of storage, Rod link has lots of great recipes that would work for you.

I agree i wouldn't do a momel if you plan on letting it sit for 21 years.
