I have a 5 gal Igloo cooler for making pilot brews. Anyone see a problem with also using this as a bottling bucket?

I'd be concerned about getting it
sanitized

I'm not sure I understand the problem getting it sanitized. It's plastic on the inside like a bottling bucket, it has a spigot like a bottling bucket. I think it would work in a pinch.

I dont think I see a problem with it. Just wash it out nice & good and sanitize obviously.

If it's scratched I can see the worry. So far mine is scratch-free. :fro:

Yeah, but grains are covered in lactobacillus and you usually scratch the hell out of the walls during stirring. I'd never let finished beer touch my mash tun.

That's exactly what I thought when I read this. Even if there aren't any visible scratches, it's probably a risk of lactobacillus infection.
