I used to have an 8 gallon turkey fryer setup, but I sold it....I think to riored4v.

Anyways, now that I'm re-procuring all of my HB gear I've been thinking about my kettle/burner setup.

I'm going to go with this pot from Sam's Club:
60 Quart Aluminum Stock Pot

I've been thinking about a burner. I kind of feel like DIY-ing this one.
I always see free gas grills on craigslist. Do you think I could dis-assemble on of these and build a sexy burner? Would a gas grill have a high enough output?

I know it's not terribly expensive to just buy one, but hell if I can DIY it then why not?

Has anybody experimented with this at all?

As cheap as they are would think you would spend at least twice as much DIY then just buying one. I have however been thinking about an electric setup for the winter so I can do it in my basement. Good luck.
