I am about to make a pretty classic IPA and I wanted to spice it up with something different maybe for the last 5 to 10 of the boil or even for the secondary. Any ideas?

I'm sure it would be beneficial to see your recipe, but if I were to speculate I would say half a dead cat?

I like the sounds of that.....a black pepper IPA, something with some kick in the back of the throat. My recipe is 7 pounds light malt extract, 1 pound crystal malt (120L) and .5 pound toasted barley. 2 oz. 6.6 % sterling for bittering and 3/4 oz. cascade for aroma. Making a starter with a white labs english ale yeast.
