#2 just hit the Fermenter!!!!

Batch #2 that is....I just finished up on a Nut Brown Ale about an hour ago.

I hope it turns out as good as batch #1 (porter kit), which I happened to be drinking right now.

I have already seen a couple of bubbles so I guess so far so good.

The only problem I encountered was the Hydrometer reading. I don't have a test cylinder (LHBS was out of them) so I tried to use the plastic sleeve it came in and it didn't work so good. I couldn't get it to stand up because there is no base to it. Oh well I will get one eventually before batch #3.

Any suggestions on what to brew next? I was thinking about an IPA......

do you have a wisky thief? use it.

What is a Whiskey thief? I have a 3 piece thief I got from LHBS that I used to draw the sample with. I wasn't to happy with it though because it leaked pretty bad.
