I have just put my batch of lager into a "pressure barrel". I know you guys don't much about em in America, but I have force carbonated it using sodastream canisters. Well...this is my question

I have a nice creamy white head and great head retention, but there is still no REAL fizz in the beer. Will it take time for the c02 to permiate the lager or do I need more?

Also in a keging system (no matter how basic), is the beer still able to condition/clear - or is different to a bottle?

It sounds like not enough CO2 has disolved in the beer. I'm not really sure what a pressure barrel is but it probably just more time under pressure for the CO2 to fully disolve in the beer.

Yes the beer will still be able to condition/clear in the keg.
