top bottom fridge and love controller

I've been thinking about getting a top bottom fridge, wire in a dual contol love controler. The love controler would control the compressor on the freezer side and a small heater on the fridge side. Thus making it colder on the top and warmer on the bottom.

Has anyone done something like this? If so, any pics and or advice would help.
 
what are you going to put in the top? my top/bottom isn't big enough for a fermentor. personally i'd go side by side if you can find one.
 
I like the idea of the top bottom because I can still crank the temp down in the freezer section if I am not using it for any brew reason, store some six packs of beer, or just whatever.

With a side by side I dont think that there is going to be much room on the freezer side for a fermentor, and this style fridge is more expensive.
