I love tasting a brew for the first time. Getting that first hydrometer reading, the anticipation of the resulting number, the first smell... Ahh. Then that first sip, the swirl... Mmm. I just tried the Crop Circle Wheat clone for the first time, and it's good. Light, sweet, crisp, a nice Hefe. I look forward to sampling it side by side with the original. Until then, I will have to cook up another batch, and wait for the exhilarating first sample.

I agree. I ran home after work yesterday to sample my southern brown ale. Looking foward to sampling it got me through a long monday. Too bad it's still a ways off from being even remotely ready. When I taste my samples and it taste good I get giddy as a school girl.
