The Fest at the Coliseum is on my mother in laws birthday. Of course my wife has plans for me.

Maybe the Martha Clara is do-able. The designated driver is the tough part for these events.

Yeah that's the part I liked about Martha Clara. A tour bus from Exit 63 to and from the event. Then it's just a short (10 miles) ride home. I'm going to the early session to reduce the odds of having to meet some of Nassau and Suffolk county's finest on the way home.

The Coliseum show has the same deal. I think it is $40 for the bus and $40 for the ticket.

The bus for the North Fork Beer Fest is sold out already.

I am also about 10 minutes from exit 63, over by Target.

Yeah, Target just off Horseblock. It sucks that the bus is already sold out and the tickets haven't gone on sale yet. Maybe the bus company should run another. It'd also be nice to know when the tix are going on sale. I heard that it's sold out very quickly.

Yeah, my wife heard Martha Clara winery and that was it. I'm stuck taking her. Two other guys from work are also going and bringing their wives. So maybe the wives will team up and hang out together.

I havent been to this event in like 6 years. Do they still only serve the two ounce glasses. Last time I went they over sold it by a lot.

I haven't been before. According to the website, your price of admission gets you a 6 oz glass with a 2 oz pour line. I'm going to have to look into a limo or something. I know it's cheaper than a DUI.

Went to the SCBF on the 10th of March (day session) at Nassau Coliseum. Highlights were many. We were disappointed by Blue Moon's Dark Chocolate Bacon Porter. It tasted more like Black Forrest Ham than bacon. I was repulsed by a Lavender Honey Beer (I don't remember who brewed it). It tasted like lavender dishwater. Waaay too much lavender. There was also a rye beer with caraway seeds that tasted like liquid rye bread. It might have paired well with some corned beef, kraut and Swiss. Overall we had a pretty good time and I'll be heading back out next year. Here's a list of the breweries that were there. http://www.springcraftbeerfestival.com/beer.html

I contacted Martha Clara and they said that they haven't updated their website. Got my tix about ten days ago and the bus tix aren't on sale yet. Up to four couples so far. They'll also have wines there as well (what a surprise ). She's not much of a beer drinker so that'll make her happy.
