Price of welds

I'm building a new AG system using sanke kegs.
I've been calling around to get prices for tig welding the 1/2in couplings to the kegs. So far the best price that I've found is $20.00 ea. Is that about the going price?

20 dollars sounds pretty good. Make sure they know they're welding Stainless and that they know how to do it properly! Ask if they back gas their stainless welds. You may find the prices going up once you tell them it's all stainless and you're looking for foodsafe welds.

it's dumping an inert gas on the back side (inside the keg) to prevent the weld from oxidizing. similar to what flux does when sweating copper
