On my third batch I used distilled to see if there was a noticeable taste difference. Then i thought why not invest in a RO system? pH of water is best around 5.5? Does anyone modify RO water or distilled?

I just moved and I will still drink my tap water but it could taste better. my searches showed a lot will cut their tap 50/50 with distilled but you still end up paying for the distilled water.. eventually RO would pay off

Why not try a faucet water filter before making that much of an investment? I know when I lived in an apartment years ago with city water, it tasted like pool water, but after I bought a water filter for like $30, the chlorine taste was gone. It might be worth a try.
