I just found a sheet of round hole perforated stainless steel in the attic at work. It has 1/8" holes on 3/16" centers. My question is concerning the 1/8" hole. Is this small enough to build a false bottom out of??? It sure looks nice. I can cut it and dome it at the shop to fit the bottom of my 10 gal Gott. I have not really looked that close at the bottoms on the market because I could not justify the cost so I am not sure what size is being used. The price is right on this (free) so if it is close to the right size I am going to build one up.

Thanks for any input!!

Sabco's is 3/32" on 5/32" centers. It may not be ideal, but I bet it'll work fine. You may have to vorlauf slightly longer, but once the grain bed sets, it should lauter just fine.
