I was/am still a huge fan of hops. I love my IPA, IIPA, RIPA, and so on. I have recently fallen in love with some of the great bourbon oak, and or just oaked beers. Backwoods Bastard, Oaked Arrogant Bastard, and a few others.

I have just ordered a few lbs of american oak, toasted american oak, and lightly toasted american oak.

I am looking for some great recipes that have been tested and tried. I love the thick syrupy flavor of Backwoods Bastard. I think that is my favorite beer of all time right now! I would love to make something similar. Anyone know of a great bourbon/oaked ale recipe? Please do share!!!:rockin:
