I know the HDPE buckets will hold up to the heat; however, will the plastic valves (on bottling buckets) hold up to the heat? I am more concerned about the rubber washer than the valve itself. What I am wanting to do is pour the wort from the brewpot into the bucket (with water in it), and then run it through the CFC. I smoked my autosiphon last time (I'm a real genius) and I don't want to let the wort sit and defeat the purpose of the CFC. I'll probably do a test run with some boiled water in the next day or two, just to be sure.

I used my bottling bucket one time to hold my sparge water before I got a real HLT. It held up fine. That was at 170 degrees. Not sure about how much higher I would go though.
