holy restricted inlet, batman!
You ever have trouble priming that bad boy? I've never seen a valve on the inlet before
 
The March pump was in a LOT of homebrew stuff I bought off a guy so have never used it myself. He did run it for me and showed me that it actually worked and said it was used for about 15 brews.
