Do I have to worry about oxidation if I rack a 4 gallon batch into a 6 gallon carboy for conditioning in the secondary? I plan on conditioning in the seondary for 3 weeks (this is a Belgian ale).

You'll get varied opinions. I myself wouldn't worry to much. its still going to be venting off CO2 post fermentation. just rack gently and don't disturb it after that til bottling/kegging time.

I figured it wouldn't be a big deal. Just curious what others thought. Thanks for you thoughts.

I aged a beer for two solid months in secondary where there was a lot of head space and the beer came out fine. Like malkore said, just don't disturb the beer too much. It will outgas some CO2 which gently settle on top of your beer and will protect it from oxidation.
