I know quite a few have tried the Northern Brewer bourbon barrel porter recipe with the standard Maker's Mark. Has anyone tried using a dark rum instead?

I thought about racking half and half to 2 secondaries and trying a combo and see. Any thoughts? Would you even mess with such a great recipe?

This weekend I am brewing a double batch this weekend. Aver primary and secondary I am going to combine them both and divide it into thirds. MM, cheap bourbon, and captian Morgan. In about 2 months I will have an educated critique on these three different methods.

I heard one person put this way... If you like to sip it you will like it in this porter.
