Tried my first schwarzbier at a Oktoberfest this weekend, Uinta’s Blackbier. Really, really good. I wish they sold it in bottles. But alas, they only brew it seasonally and sell it on-tap.

I’ve heard Sam Adams produces a schwarzbier (Black Ale). Anyone know of any others?

Sam Adams is actual called Black Lager and is excellent. It's one of my favorite styles right now. Beer Captured has a recipe for one that I have been doing for a while now(on my 4th try) that comes pretty close.

My wife asked me to pick up some wine on my way home last night. And what should be sitting right at the entrance to the store: Sam Adams Black Lager.

So I had to pick some up... along with some barley wine.
