Testing was done to determine the overall temperature delta between a carboy filled with water and a fermenting carboy in open air located side by side. There has been talk of the temperature deltas but I wanted to see cold hard data in time series fashion.

I think the result can vary quite a bit. The room has a large influence. It all depends on air movement and how well it can then remove heat from the fermentor. If the room is small with little air movement you can see bigger deltas. With big open rooms with good air circulation, the difference can be small
