what are the effects of chlorine and chloramine on the flavor of my beer do i need to boil extra time to get rid of the chlorine? chloramine takes tablets to get rid of.

If i do not get rid of these chemicals will is adversely affect my beers flavor?

Not getting rid of them WILL adversely affect your flavors. Imagine a fresh box of plastic bandaids - been there, done that. It's nasty.

My water is so far off, I gave up. I go to the extra expense of bottled spring water when I'm making beer.

Im on city water and I just filter it through a britta filter and it works pretty well.

If you are doing extract, distilled is OK. For all grain it is better to use spring water. You need the minerals.
