I just brewed a hefe and wisely used a blowoff tube. I had activity 5hrs after pitching and the next morning krausen spewing from the blowoff tube. When I got home today the vessel I'm using for the blowoff tube looked like milk. I dumped the water and there was a 1/4 inch of what looked like a yeast cake on the bottom. I'm still getting active bubbling from the blowoff so I'm probably ok, but is this normal?

Totally normal... my heffe did the same. You hava plenty of yeast in the fermentor, it is ok. My heffe is on day 10 and still bubbling after a huge blow off.
