Hi,
My girlfriends bro asked me to do a brew using a kit for him. He tried it once but it didn't work too well - it was very hazy, even after about 6 weeks in the barrel.
It was the fourth time I had brewed, I'm onto partial mashing and think I understand the basics. Anyway, yesterday I moved the kit brew from the fermemnter (3 weeks) into a barrel (not doing a secondary). It smelt very yeasty and when I siphoned a little into a glass it was very cloudy/hazy.
I'm a bit worried the same thing may have happened again. I was very strict with sanitising.
I guess I should just wait to see if it clears in the barrel, but does anyone have any ideas about what could be the problem?
The kit is Woodfordes Great Eastern (UK).
