UL 489 vs 1077 breakers for electric brewery control panel?

There is a good article describing the diifferences here.
From what I understand, you are required by the NEC to use UL 489 breakers in the panel that feeds the branch cicuit. This would be the load center or panelboard in your home.
If you install additional breakers inside your control panel (in lieu of fuses) then the 1077 breakers would be well suited for that application.
