I have been brewing for 3 years now and routinely rinse my fermented in my basement sink, which drains to a discharge ahml, same with the laundry etc. It gets pretty funky and rubbery and sulphur smelling every once in a while.

Anyone else have this problem or have a decent solution

We get that at my work. Problem happens when we dont dump anywater down the drain for a while. If it drys out totally then its starts to give off strange smells.

So we just make sure to chuck a jug of water in it every day. Maybe something similiar.

Eh, this gets quite a bit of use with two kids, we do about 5 loads of laundry a week...

I think I am just going to shut the sump off, fill it up and use a rag on a stick to scrub down the walls and stir everything up, throw some bleach in it, then let the sump pump it all out.
