Growlers Anyone?

Hey everyone,

There are 100 growlers for sale here in Massachusetts, for 1200 bucks, I don't think it is the best deal, but only because I will only ever need about 2. Just thought I would share with you guys, maybe a local HB club can buy them and split the cost.

Ouch.. $12 each? That's not any good...

Here I can get a FILLED growler at the brewpub for $11.50.

You can expect to pay a little more for the flip top growlers but for that quantity the bulk discount should be more than that. Not a good deal IMO.

Horrible deal.

I went to JJ Bittings in NJ and got a growler (full) for like $12. I asked about them empty and she said they were like $4. I was travelling and wasn't going to drink the brew anyways, so I should have asked first. Instead I bought full growlers with crappy warm beer when I got home.

Thank good for company meal allowance for that purchase!

I thought that the flip top growlers were quite expensive (compared to the screw tops). $12 bucks a piece looks good to me.

Flip-top growlers are $19 a pop on Northern Brewer; they're a little nicer than those being offered, but I'm talking about basic growlers, not the "romantic" ones. Now, would I pay $12 for these? Hells, no - but I might buy a couple for $20.
