1. Started off exceptionally windy (yesterday was clear and cool) and I'm sweating up a storm from it being in the mid 80s. Have to stand over the pot because of the wind I have to have the propane up really high.

2. Hydrometer just blew over from the windowsill on the house and shattered so no OG for this one.

3. Wind is picking up and it is beggining to drizzle.

Recipe was the Mild Mannered Ale in the recipe section.

Mild Mannered Ale - US imperial

4.4 oz Chocolate Malt (Thomas Fawcett) (508.0 SRM) Grain
-- Estimated Pre-boil Gravity is: 1.025 SG with all grains/extracts added

Boil for 60 min Start to Boil.

45 min into boil Add 0.87 oz Fuggles [4.50%] (15 min)
-- Add water (as needed) to achieve volume of 5.00 gal

Upside I had time to grill up two awesome burgers during the mashing.

EDIT
Lightning alarms going off down at the baseball field.

Was just at the LHBS getting another hydrometer. Counter guy, (chefchris) said he's been through $100 worth of hydrometers so far. My last one was reading low due to the wort inside of it.

Hop bags opened up =/ Now it can only get better.

well look on the bright side, it seems that things can only get better from here

It is cooling much quicker then expected. Have it on the top step of the swimming pool with the pool pump pushing water through the immersion chiller. Sometimes being good with plumbing stuff carries over :mug:
