Ok, this is a bit of a vent but I must say it.
1. Know the meaning of Memorial Day before you start "celebrating" Memorial Day. Our fallen sailors and soldiers did not die so you could get living room furniture with no money down or a free ottoman. If you save money on a "Memorial Day Sale" you should send your "saved" money to the widow of a fallen soldier.
2. Memorial Day is to observe fallen soldiers, not living vets. I'm glad you recognize the sacrifices our vets have made, but we haven't made the ultimate sacrifice. The living vets have our own day, Veterans day. And WE should be the ones saving money and taking the day off. Not everyone.
