Does My Wort Chiller Look Right?

The only issue I could think of is if the coils on top dont go all the way into the wort, if they do you should be good.
 
Like wyzazz said... heat rises. By useing most of the coils up top it will cool that area quickest causing it to drop to the bottom and displace that warmer wort back top the top
 
I have an additional question. Is there a difference between stainless steel and copper immersion chillers or is it simply preference?
 
SS is cheaper, easier to keep clean & more durable. Copper on the other hand has a very slight advantage in thermal transfer, but that is a very slight advantage.

If it were me, I'd stick with SS.

Lots of opinions both ways.

Stainless is more durable, but copper is a better conductor.

You'll be fine with yours, just keep the bleach away from it.
