Buying Bottles?

I see many threads about bottle prices. A good friend owns a little bar in my neighborhood and puts all his bottles back in the cases they came in. I can pick up a couple of cases two or three times each week and would never have to buy a single bottle.
Is there some reason I shouldn't be getting bottles like this?


Someday I will grow up and keg, but at this point I do not have space for a kegerator.

Go ahead and reuse those bottles. Just make sure to wash them out well and sanitize them but they will be fine. The only bottles I ever use have been recycled from commercial beers.

Those bottles are fine.... I buy my bottles all the time, of course the beer in them is free!
