As some of you know, when I switched to a DF RIMS I had scorching issues when stepping up temps without stirring the mash.
I switched from a copper manifold to a false bottom (about 2 inches of clearance) and problem is solved.
Now I intend to add another thermometer to the return lines as I don't want the flame to over heat the liquid.
I can't find (yet) a local source for perforated SS so I made a ghetto false bottom out of a SS round frame and Alum door screen material.
