I began in London at the Old Shades off Trafalgar Square. The Old Shades is part of the Dick Whittington Ale Trail.

London is a blast!

I remember liking just about everything by Youngs that I tried. The rest of the details are a bit of a blur...

Right on! I hit the Old Cheshire Cheese when I was in London in '04. Good stuff. Are you heading up to Scotland at all?

Looks like you had a good time there. :) Man I miss them pumps. :(

Mrs OhioBrit is nagging me to take her back there, but if we do go I'm sure she won't be as pub co-operative as your SWMBO. Full marks to her! :D

This back door at the St. James Church in the village of Stow-in-the-Wold in England is thought to be the inspiration for the Moria door in Tolkein's Lord of the Rings series. He was known to have passed through this area prior to writing TLOTR. The door is flanked by yew trees, often planted in church lots due to a spiritual significance.

She's a keeper. But I am editing out most of the tourist pics.

Once I told the bartenders that taking picture is the only way that I'll remember what I drank, they seem to understand.

Dude those are some sweet pics, I'd love to go to England but it's so expensive over there especially with the US dollar in the crapper.

Ahhhh The guest beers that are written in sloppy sharpie pen!! So tempting to try and quite often a very rewarding gamble!

All the hits this this thread is getting? Probably most of them are mine.....Just going through all the pics over and over and getting a little bit homesick for the draught ale. :(
