Glass blown equipment your thoughts

Doesn't blowing on it when its soft cause it to get hard? It's been a while, but I think that's how it used to work...

I think I will hold back my comment on that.

This is a technical thread, so we should keep to the topic.

How about some mugs, pint glasses or some cool hand blown tulips? A recent competition around here gave away a hand blown mug for best of show.

OoOooo I like that ideas! Especially if you make some funky shapes and mix in some colored glass with clear, sweet!

I love the mug idea that is pretty cool. also glass tap handles. im still using picnic taps as well so maybe I would finally convert if I had some nice tap handles.

I found the torch I need, going to pick it up today, then off to great grandma's to get the lumber, marble and graphite for my work station. Will also order some glass tubes and rods this week. No plans on selling anything anytime soon, but I will start posting pics once I start working.

I still need to find a kiln I can use locally for the bigger things.

A glass wine thief would be great. I ordered one a while back but it turned out to be really freaking tiny.

Haven't got one handy but I can say it's about the size of a hydrometer.
