For those of you who use Tri Clover Clamps I was wondering what size you use and what your setup looks like if you have pics. Also what do you usually pay for them.

1 1/2" across the flange is the common size. I bought a whole bunch a while back, and some 3 pc valves, but I don't see them coming into play any time soon. Brass QD's are really hard to beat for ease of use.

Most of my clamps are 1-1/2", some are 2", 2-1/2" and 3".
I use only Tri Clover Clamps for all my brewery connections.

First thank you for the kind words and you have this old man red in the face.

The size I use is 1 1/2 sanitary and the reason I say sanitary is because there is another 1 1/2 out there called I line.

A few years ago before I knew the difference I purchased a big box of 1 1/2 that turned out to be I line and they will not fit a sanitary fitting such as a end caps.

A quick way to tell the difference is the width of the groove in the clamp. A Sanitary will measure 1/4 inch across and the I line will measure 3/8. This is flat area inside the clamp.

Hope this helps

God Bless

Do you have a brewers license? That can't be just for personal consumption....

Don't need one, I am a novice brewer.
This is a homebrewery.
