I want to do a nice Hefeweizen for the summer and the basic recipe I am thinking about is the following;

6lbs Wheat Extract
.5lb Wheat
.5lb Cara-Pils
1oz Hallertauer @ 60 min
Safbrew WB-06

I wanted to add the Cara-Pils for body and head retention but is 8oz too much? Also for the Wheat grains which is going to be better flaked wheat, malt or raw? I want a smooth beer with good body, a slightly creamy mouth feel but not too heavy.

Thanks

Cool thanks for all the info, if everything goes according to plan I should have it brewed by the weekend.
