This is my first yeat in growing hops and, since it is the first year, they are not yeilding all that much. If I dried them, I may get 3-4 ounces of Zeus and Cascade hops at the very most. I have not built a miniature oast house yet, nor do I have a food saver system yet to store the hops. So, I am thinking I may just do a harvest ale. Does anyone have a good extract recipe for a harvest ale? :mug:

No recipe here, but if i were doing this i would probably do a pale ale recipe that i had done in the past just so i was able to note some of the differences in using wet and dried hops.

So, here is what I did. I will let you all know how it turns out.

1.5 lbs, 20L Crystal malt
7lbs, liquid pale malt extract
1 oz. Simcoe hops (60 minutes)
1 tsp Irish moss
5.1 oz. Fresh Zeus Hops (10 minutes)
7.9 oz. Fresh Cascade Hops (5 minutes)
White Labs California Ale Yeast

I am considering sanitizing some more Fresh Cascade hops for dry hoping, but absolutesites is saying not to worry about it. If anyone has an opinion on this, let me know.
