So last night I made a can of coopers real ale. I did some experimenting with it and made hop tea out of glacier and citra hops. I added that plus a small tupperware container of French oak chips that had been soaking in Jim beam charcoal filtered for about two days.y question is when I transfer to the secondary should the chips go with or not into the secondary?

Only thing you can do is taste it and decide whether the taste you are seeking has come through yet. If not, you should transfer the chips to the secondary.
