How does willamette taste all by itself? How does it taste for bittering?

Very floral with just a hint of the citrus character that American hop varietes are known for. I've never used it for bittering, but it's a smooth hop.

looks good to me I am going to come up with a recipe for an all willamette IPA I like how floral it is. Might take 6-8 oz but hey I can get a pound for 9.00 at my LHBS

cool. I'm brewing it up tomorrow then, should I dry hop with the willamette as well? or would they not lend much to dry hopping?

willamette is a good hop. it's an american variety of fuggle, basically. i always keep some around, since i buy it by the pound.

it was pretty good and everyone I gave it to enjoyed it. super light obviously with good earthy flavor. easy drinking pale ale. I also dry hopped it with half ounce of willamette as well for a few days which gave it more character.
