Two Brothers Heavy Handed IPA @ Costco

I was just at Costco (in Glenview, IL) tonight and they have 3 liter jeroboams of Two Brothers Heavier Handed IPA for $50.

I had to talk myself out of putting that in the cart a few times. Would have loved to have tried it, but ~100 oz is a bit much for me to drink in 1 sitting.

100 oz = 8.33 beers

$50/8.33 = $6 per 12 oz. beer

Is it worth that much? Is it really *that* good?

I have no idea as I haven't had one yet. It is a big beer, somewhere around 8.5 ABV and IBUs were somewhere around 70 iirc. It is an oak aged wet hopped beer produced only at the end of the hop harvest.

I'd have no problem throwing down $6 or even $8 for one 12oz, but 100 oz/$50 that is a big commitment and I'd surely need another person or two to split it with.

Yeah thats how I feel about it, co in half with a budy $25 each would be doable.
Be 4 beers at 8.5abv...you'll be warm and toasty lol :tank:

Yeah, I don't think I would be qualified to operate a big ass 3 liter glass bottle by the time I got around to pouring the last one if I tried to finish it off on my own. :drunk:
