Nice rack of Baby Backs ready to pull off and rest! Poor me another home-brew for the waiting, is the hardest part!

I asked my wife last weekend what she wanted for Mother's Day dinner. She couldn't make up her mind if she wanted me to grill something or if he wanted me to make stir-fry.

So, I made her grilled stir fry.

Marinated a london broil overnight and put it along with the carrots, mushrooms and onions (lightly oiled) on the gill:

Closer shot of the veggies about halfway through:

I just seared the meat and got a little char on the outside, but it was still raw in the middle. I planned it that way so I could slice it thin and throw it with the veggies and a few other goodies I didn't want to grill into the pan on the stove for the stir-frying part:

Finished it off on the stove and served on brown rice:

You guys are just evil. Posting photos of such quality food is just too cruel for the untalented wannabes like me. My tongue is now dehydrated from all the drooling.

Get back to your evil work ..... and post more pictures to inspire the rest of us to learn your dark ways.

Just a couple a few pics of a brisket and pork butt I did this past fall. Have some of the pulled pork in the freezer... going to have some tonight during the game. With an ice cold HB of course. Cheers!!

APL wings this weekend!! My variation uses a heaping tablespoon of fresh garlic in the sauce, and I cook on the grates from start to finish, no foil pan. Smoked with a chunk of cherry. Oh...

Oh... Drank one of these with my meal. Like my beer label? I need to fix the typo, its not an imperial (yet).

Technically, I wouldn't call this grilling but thought I'd share. I was in a mood for french dips and decided to dig this old thing out of storage. We used to use it as an indoor grill when we were apartment dwellers but had never used the rotisserie. Threw on a 9-dollar chunk of sirloin tip roast. Cheap and easy.

a steak with a fried egg on top

chocolate covered benton's bacon

a real meatball sub

skin like pork cracklins

Been smoking for a while, here a few pics from past cooks. I used to use a cheap offest that I modified to work better with more temp stability, but now I use a 40" gas smoker in my carport that I have exhausted through the wall. It makes smoking in the snow, rain and wind easier.

Here is a turkey and turkey breast I did

Small brisket

A few pork butts

I have to find some pics of the ribs.

A few more I found....

Ribs and little ones first crack at them...

One dry, one wearing a maple syrup/chipoltle glaze

Pic of the gas smoker in its new home. I sealed the door with fireplace gasket, hung cement board on the 3 interior walls to increase the thermal mass, made a new smoke pan out of a cast iron skillet, larger water pan, and bent/welded up a plenum for the rear exhaust and routed it through the wall to a rain cap.

No heat shield behind it? That looks like wood paneling behind it. Does the white wall get hot?

No heat shield, the white is aluminum like the rest of the enclosure... its like soffit but placed vertically. Since its only a smoker, I have never had to get it over 350F usually its running at 225f. I can touch the outside of it without getting burned, and there is a 8" gap at the rear so no problems at all.
